Dimphy de Vaan

BIOGRAPHY

Born and married in the Netherlands, Dimphy de Vaan has been living in Aotearoa for the last 27 years. 

Dimphy has always had an urge to create, intuitively using any medium on hand and keen to explore and learn about new creative practices. 

The process is often more important than the end product. Creatively expressing herself through art can be a challenging, soothing, and satisfying experience, ultimately enriching her life. 

Some of the mediums Dimphy works in include painting, printmaking, mixed media, stone carving and, most recently, exploring clay.
